6 Principles of Kingdom Scribes
There are a few things that are built in to make up a kingdom scribe. We expolored five of the six that we are discussing today on a FaceBook Live on the Anointed Abundance page.
A kingdom scribe must be:
(1) Jewish - Since we are Post-Christ Death, A.D. a scribe must now be born again.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
The term "born again" refers to coming into salvation through Christ.
Romans 10:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Salvation requires a confession of your faith and an agreement in one's heart to partner and obey God. The decision to become a God chaser has to be sincere for one to stop circling the mountain of persuing their own will and their own ways and repeating their old mistakes and behaviors.
John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
This is a key component to being born again. It requires one to operate in truth. The spirit portion requires we receive the Holy Spirit and baptism. We can discuss this further in another blog post.
(2) Knowledge of the Torah
Biblical scribes did not have the privilege of having a bible. But what they did have released from the kingdom of heaven was the 5 books of Moses' day: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus & Numbers. Scribing was not a job that random individuals could just apply. Many of the scribes were inbeded with prophets to record "what thus sayeth the Lord". We can not receive from a source that we do not honor. To receive the The call to scribe (not just the ability to scribe) comes when the word of God is accumulated enough in you to sprout one's giftings and callings. We have to honor the knowledge and presence of God to really walk in our callings and be in partnership with God. We have to have some knowledge of God's word to have a frame of reference in dealing with his His prophetic to have an understanding of what is manifesting and presenting to us and within our territory. A limited knowledge of God's word limits one's ability to manifest and to ascertain what He is doing and where He wants to take you. Work on expanding your knowledge of God's word. Petition God for His Godly knowledge and to expand your desire to know and understand Him. Work on taking away everything that would or could limit your ability to walk in your callings and to know the God that breathed life into you. To go into territories unknown where great bounties of heaven may have been placed for us we must have a desire to pursue God beyond our own present understanding.
(3) Knowledge of the Prophets
Since a lot of scribes were inbeded with prophets it is only natural that one be schooled on the prophets. We must have a basis of knowledge to start with when we apply for a job about the company we are applying to work with right? It is a similar principle to know the history of the prophets when you scribe in order that you as a scribe will have an understanding of the prior and current ministers used by God. God quite often would demonstrate His message and works in the life of the prophet prior to doing that work in the children of Israel. If you look at Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea and others you will see God communicate His heart through their lives. In order to understand the way God's heart functions and what is on His mind pray and study the prophets. In order to know where we are going we have to have an understanding of where God has been considering a situation and His people.
(4) Teach God's People
Scribes could not just sit and receive knowledge all there lives and be a stagnate steel trap of knowledge and information. The word is living and breathing. It requires a flow going both in and out. Information receiving and going back out. The great commission is for each believer to share the knowledge of God and to evangelize. This is a commandment - not a option. The call to scribe instinctively pulls on one to document the knowledge of God as it is fresh out of the kingdom of Heaven. Documenting the utterances of the prophetic and what is breathed into your spirit by the Holy Spirit of God allows us to track and trace God. It also allows us to look back and reflect on what God is doing and has done and where He is promising to take the body of Christ. Your are apart of that body. Your edification is the edification of the body of Christ that you might release God's power as it is at work in you right now. God is not a some day God but a right now God. Document and release what He is saying and doing in and around you RIGHT NOW.
(5) Scribes Must Be Disciples
What does it mean to be discipled? It means to not just be saved. But to learn how to study the bible for yourself. Learn how to bring down the presence, the glory of God for yourself at any time and any where. Whether you are in your car, your kitchen, a church or the back yard. We must have our own personal relationship with God. We must have our own personal daily prayer life. Along with our own private worship time with God. By the time a believer gets to church they should already be overflowing. No one should have to prod them and beg them to stand up or raise their hands or sing to God. When you have already been worshiping in private daily you begin to overflow automatically in the spirit. You have to work more at not automatically speaking the praises of God at your job and else where because it just automatically flows from you. Your discipleship is necessary in order to have a sustaining relationship with the Lord. Going to church is NOT enough. Just saying, you know God is not enough. We must actually hear God's voice for ourselves.
We must know how to study the word of God for ourselves. If you don't know what the truth is you are in danger of falling for counterfeits and following the wrong people and attaching yourself to the false beliefs that are NOT in the bible. Case in point, many people say, "But I am a good person." God never said be good - He said, we must be holy. If we don't understand the difference than we must ask the Holy Spirit for a fresh in-filling and for Godly discernment. Do not be so easily fooled by sayings of the culture or by colloquialisms of the times. Live your life by the principles of the bible and test every thing that is said to you. Lest you be tricked by the spirit of the anit-christ which is different from the actual anti-christ which is to come.
1 John 2:22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
1 John 4:3and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spiritof the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
All of the bible is God-breathed by the Holy Spirit. Which means just as God breathed life into Adam He breathed His word into someone for documentation...scribing.
(6) Kingdom Scribes Must Bring Both the Old & the New
We are trained up with the knowledge of both the old and the new testament. God is always using our old experiences and manifesting His plans in our new experiences. God is in the new.
Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
When you see a desert or a dry place in your life, rejoice. There is room for God to bloom now. Pray over that area and worship God for what He promised to do for you in Deuteronomy 28. Remember, what God does will last. So what He begins in your life is intended for extended and residual blessing. What we do for ourselves can be cut off as quick as the water tap. But the works of God are guarded by His word. Assign God over ever area of your life that He can bloom where you have seen no movement.
It is important to honor and study both the old testament and the new. Scribes must bring forth to the wo
rld what God is teaching us through the old and release His fresh word for lasting teachings and new manifestations of His glory in the earth realm.
